How many times do you wish you had the perfect potion for aching muscles after pushing it in a workout or using muscles you haven’t used in a while or working in the yard, helping a friend move whatever…

This little three+ minute video is really a simple solution using natural herbs – ginger root, chile and arnica. You add olive oil into the mix and bake it about 2 hours at 250 to infuse it.

Strain it through cheese cloth and keep the oil in a little glass bottle.

Simple and fast.

To be healthy physically, good quality fuel is a requirement.

And are eggs a healthy breakfast choice? The answer is: It all depends on what kind of eggs you are eating.

Eating local farm fresh eggs is a healthy component of our diet. We’ve been eating eggs produced by free range naturally fed chickens for a long time. And when I say “naturally fed”, I mean naturally grown feed as their diet with no growth hormones or antibiotics.

But are all eggs created equal?

Mainstream corporate farming and major standard grocery chains take the position that all eggs are the same – just like they say all corn is the same.

The facts may be considerably different than we – the consumers – are being led to believe.

Dr. Niva Shapira of Tel Aviv University’s School of Health Professions says that all eggs are not created equal. Her research indicates that when hens are fed with a diet low in omega-6 fatty acids from a young age — feed high in wheat, barley, and milo and lower in soy, maize and sunflower, safflower, and maize oils — they produce eggs that may cause less oxidative damage to human health. That’s a major part of what determines the physiological impact of the end product on your table.

Her findings were published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Cholesterol oxidation: an industry standard?

Eggs high in omega-6 fatty acids heighten cholesterol’s tendency to oxidize, which forms dangerous plaque in our arteries. Dr. Shapira’s research shows that eggs laid by hens with healthier feed can lessen oxidation of LDL (low density lipoprotein), the body’s “bad cholesterol.”

via sciencedaily.com

As consumers, we have been programmed to accept – as gospel – whatever someone says on television, or writes in a book, because they are experts. My experience has taught me that just because someone calls themself an expert does not necessarily mean they are.

The media quotes experts all the time without identifying what they are experts in and why they are experts – not unlike quotes from “whitehouse sources” or “insider sources” quoted in news stories and television advertising.

Mark Twain on advertising: Many a small thing has been made large by the right kind of advertising.

Naturally Produced Eggs Cost More

It’s very simple when you think about it. It costs more to raise natural eggs. Natural feed is more expensive. It takes more time for chickens to reach full maturity when they are not pumped full of growth hormones and fed feed that encourages more aggressive fat production.

I gauge this personally by “taste” and how my body feels when I eat healthy eggs and chicken. There is a big difference in flavor and I notice a difference in energy levels when I eat healthy.

So I pay $2.37 per dozen for free range natural eggs even when I can buy a dozen ‘of regular eggs’ much cheaper. If Dr. Shapira’s research is accurate, I think reducing the oxidation of LDL in my system is worth the cost.

In the long run who pays more?

People who know how to be healthy or people who wish they had after they develop chronic health problems? And what is the cost to society?

Yes, it costs more to eat healthy.

Yet, there is an imminent economic cost emerging among the younger generation as childhood obesity and other chronic diseases become more prevalent. Healthy food can have a direct impact on this growing problem.

Making healthy food mandatory – and providing it on a widespread basis – is an intelligent place to invest our money as a society and considerably less expensive than dealing with completely preventable widespread disease down the road.

How much does it cost to treat and manage chronic disease?

Buy healthy eggs. They’re actually cheaper. And support programs and legislation that encourage fresh healthy foods for children in schools – like Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

And enjoy eggs as a healthy breakfast choice – healthy eggs, low in omega-6 fatty acids.

In the long run we all win.

Do you have a healthy relationship with money?

To be healthy also means financial health.

We all are striving to get ahead and quit the money struggle. In many respects the lack of financial health is one of the greatest issues today – on a personal level, a national level and a global level.

In our search to find the answers over the last 20 years – about how to be the very best people we can while striving for excellence – we have experienced some really amazing trainings, seminars, workshops and certifications along the way.

About 2 years ago, we learned about Are You Funny With Money, one of the dynamic interactive workshops created by Dr. Ed Carlson. Since that time, we were participants in all of Dr Ed’s workshops – first as attendees, then again as participants in certification training and now as Certified Core Health Facilitators, we facilitate them ourselves.

Most people go ‘weak’ around money even when they have a lot of it – Boomers and GenXers alike.

Funny With Money gets rid of “money weakness” and frees us up to be healthy, whole around money the way we were born to be. Abundance is the natural default of the universe.

Yet we have been programmed differently for the most part.

Whether you just want to have a better relationship around money with your spouse, achieve a more stable relationship to money or become a Wealthy Boomer.

Consider attending a live event yourself.

Grand Master David and SRC4U Software

With this software, you can learn how to be healthy by enhancing whatever it is that you are doing regarding improvement – be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. GM David calls it a qigong enhancement tool. And he ought to know.

You can read more about Grand Master David Harris here.

Turning Points

Ever noticed how there are turning points in our lives? And have you also noticed that many times we do not recognize those turning points when they are occurring?

Earlier in life, it was easy for me to miss these events – only to recognize them in retrospect. At this stage of my life, it seems much easier not to overlook important moments. As if a new type of radar has been installed in my consciousness that activates in internal notification system telling me:

PAY ATTENTION, THIS IS IMPORTANT

Meeting Grand Master David was one of those turning points in my life. It was also a fundamental point of correction, coupled with Core Health (the work of Dr. Ed Carlson), my life has changed – for the better – significantly in the last two years.

And that’s a good thing. It was time.

Doing Core Health Workshops and Heart Forgiveness Workshops over the last year and a half has given me a renewed sense of purpose. Over and over again, we see people shifting, expanding and releasing old emotional baggage and energy glitches that somehow ran their subconscious minds for years without being aware of it.

What we are doing as Core Health Facilitators really makes a difference for many people and is incredibly satisfying work. GM Davis has been a supporter of Core Health for several years as peer review on the board of advisers.

SRC4U is another turning point.

Grand Master David, the youngest martial arts Grandmaster in the world, a world class fighter, and a Grandmaster in Qigong, has spent the better part of the last four years creating a software that he describes as a Qigong Enhancement Tool.

His knowledge and dedication to humanity are unparalleled in my experience and I recognize the magnitude and value of this tool he has created for the long term. The name of his software is SRC4U and you can find out more here:

SRC4U FREE TRIAL <== Here

There are two ways to try the software for free:

Download a copy of the free Ultra Lite version to keep.

Download a 2 week trial of the Premium SRC4U version

There are also 4 links to different articles at the top of that page – 3 of them about Grandmaster David.

There is nothing to loose by trying it and – who knows – it just might work. It won’t cost you anything to try.

Health, old technology, 21st century technology and modern science are really coming together. Check this out and try the software for yourself.

We’d love to hear back from you.

Having an awesome day in Sarasota, Fl…

Meditation is a good way to be healthy. It is a path to inner health.

Are you meditating yet? You should be because it helps change the internal landscape.

In today’s society, meditation is now more important than ever for health because it teaches us to quiet the neural net and calm ourselves internally.

For me this video is a prefect tool for a deep short meditation because it creates such an energy of harmony and inner quiet. Meditation is a really the conscious act of allowing. When we get quiet enough and allow the external noise to fade away from our focus and thoughts, we allow ourselves to hear the gentler, quiet voice within.

Recently I heard the following quote about meditation that I thought was both simple and poignant.

“Prayer is talking to God and meditation is listening.”

That makes sense to me.

Meditation harmonizes us to be healthy by balancing the outer us to align with the inner us. It is a very healthy practice to allow the neural net to calm itself and quiet down from time to time. We are subject to too much stimulus in our lives.

Meditation helps relieve stress and quiet the heart. Regular practice is both soothing and very relaxing. Mediatate at least ten minutes a day.

The Tibetan singing bowls are favorites of mine for relaxing and vibrational toning.

Getting Back to Basics about How to Be Healthy with Some Common Sense Health Tips

Why Common Sense Health Tips?

This is the first in a new series of articles that tobehealthy.com is launching. These articles will be called: How To Be Healthy: Common Sense Health Tips. Before we get directly into the health tips, this first discussion sets the stage for the need and the reasoning behind these articles. I am not a medical professional and I am not offering health care advice. I’m just a guy who has spent 40+ years figuring out what works for me and what doesn’t. I AM a Healthy Boomer and a natural health advocate and I care about my kids, my grandchildren and the future generations of kids. We have to be their advocates because no one else seems to be willing to do so (except maybe for Jamie Oliver and his Food Revolution idea).

Common Sense

Common sense doesn’t seem so common lately. It used to be when I was a kid.

In the past, I’ve often said: "Common sense is the ultimate oxymoron. There’s nothing common about sense any more." Michael Barrett, 1995

The vindictive tone is changing in my thinking and intention. Now it’s becoming more of a matter of concern than ridicule or derision.

At the same time, it’s time to wake up because common sense is our ultimate weapon – the ultimate weapon of the individual – you and me.

Health spending in the United States is an estimated $2.4 trillion in 2008, an average of $7,868 per person

source:http://www.kff.org/insurance/h08_7828.cfm

What?

And that’s before this last year’s financial fiasco. In all fairness, I have no conceptual understanding of what $2.4 Trillion dollars means in real life. I wrote a blog about What Does a Billion Dollars Mean – but a $Trillion – and 2.4 of them?

Talk about never-never land. What are they smoking in Congress? Who are these guys?

We are spending more and more money on health care and we are not getting healthier. The war on cancer, heart disease and obesity is not working. Obesity and heart disease are going off the charts. We spend an inordinate amount of money on treating symptoms and managing dis-ease. Yet we spend very little on preventative care.

Prevention is cheap. Treating illness is expensive.

In the big picture, our money is better spent promoting and educating about prevention and health. When have you ever heard an interview about the health care issue among the talking heads, the politicians or in the news where anybody has said,

"It’s time to start teaching everybody how to be healthy."?

We don’t hear these cries from the halls of Congress either because lobbies and special interests control their votes and agenda. Neither common sense nor the choices of their constituents play a role in long term planning for a healthy nation nor the development of intelligent solutions to existing problems.

And I submit to you that there are far better qualified people to make both financial and medical decisions than Congress. How many members of Congress are actually experts in either field and what are their track records?

Let’s get serious people. We have the greatest nation in the world, the best form of government in history and the most sophisticated <leo_highlight style="border-bottom: rgb(255,255,150) 2px solid; display: inline; background: 0% 50%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial" id="leoHighlights_Underline_1" leohighlights_keywords="technology" leohighlights_url_top="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsTop.jsp?keywords%3Dtechnology%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_url_bottom="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsBottom.jsp?keywords%3Dtechnology%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_underline="true" onclick="leoHighlightsHandleClick('leoHighlights_Underline_1')" onmouseover="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOver('leoHighlights_Underline_1')" onmouseout="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOut('leoHighlights_Underline_1')"></leo_highlight>technology. We have a huge brain trust in our people – the brightest minds, the best scientists and a natural inclination among the people for innovation. We are the most generous nation in the world and always have been. That’s what America is all about. We have a freedom that we can not take for granted.

How About a New Agenda across the Boards

Teaching Everyone How To Be Healthy…

Let’s make the number one goal in this country the following:

Let’s put our heads together and make America the healthiest nation in the world – by all measurement standards. Let’s think out of the box like Americans always do when they have a problem or face difficult decisions.

Let’s set the bar higher than any other country and focus the vast majority of health care funding on accomplishing this.

Let’s develop the <leo_highlight style="border-bottom: rgb(255,255,150) 2px solid; display: inline; background: 0% 50%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial" id="leoHighlights_Underline_0" leohighlights_keywords="technology" leohighlights_url_top="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsTop.jsp?keywords%3Dtechnology%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_url_bottom="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsBottom.jsp?keywords%3Dtechnology%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_underline="true" onclick="leoHighlightsHandleClick('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" onmouseover="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOver('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" onmouseout="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOut('leoHighlights_Underline_0')"></leo_highlight>technology to lead the world in production volume of completely natural and organic produce, meats and dairy products. We don’t need a UN resolution either. Let them follow our lead.

Let’s encourage the creation of fast food restaurants that serve organic, healthy foods fast.

Let’s mandate healthy food in every school for every child next week. Not after 7 years of squabbling in Congress whether it is a good idea or not. Of course it is a good idea and I don’t need a <leo_highlight style="border-bottom: rgb(255,255,150) 2px solid; display: inline; background: 0% 50%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial" id="leoHighlights_Underline_2" leohighlights_keywords="phd" leohighlights_url_top="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsTop.jsp?keywords%3Dphd%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_url_bottom="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsBottom.jsp?keywords%3Dphd%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_underline="true" onclick="leoHighlightsHandleClick('leoHighlights_Underline_2')" onmouseover="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOver('leoHighlights_Underline_2')" onmouseout="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOut('leoHighlights_Underline_2')"></leo_highlight>PhD in Statistical Analysis or an MD or a JD after my name to make that statement.

As a nation – as well as worldwide – we need to begin exercising common sense when it to comes to health. Strictly from a practical standpoint, it’s easier to be healthy than to be sick. It is both easier and cheaper. We simply get more bang for the buck when we teach wellness and HOW TO BE HEALTHY – as opposed to getting prepared to be sick.

What’s the old Franklin quote:

"If you think education is expensive, try ignorance."

My great grandparents were healthy their whole lives. I knew them as a boy. They were active physically. They ate natural home grown foods that they raised themselves, and lived a long time – 105 and 107 respectively. My great uncle (their son) is now about 100 and he regularly went backpacking in the mountains until he was in his late 80′s.

They all had vitality and a zest for living that permeated their healthy lifestyle – without television, without ‘medical experts’ telling them what to do every day, without the FDA, the AMA or the health insurance industry and definitely without Congress butting into our personal lives. They used herbs to make tonics when they were a little off and they ate nutrient rich fruits and vegetables from their gardens and <leo_highlight style="border-bottom: rgb(255,255,150) 2px solid; display: inline; background: 0% 50%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial" id="leoHighlights_Underline_0" leohighlights_keywords="orchard" leohighlights_url_top="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsTop.jsp?keywords%3Dorchard%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_url_bottom="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsBottom.jsp?keywords%3Dorchard%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_underline="true" onclick="leoHighlightsHandleClick('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" onmouseover="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOver('leoHighlights_Underline_0')" onmouseout="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOut('leoHighlights_Underline_0')"></leo_highlight>orchard. They drank clean spring water from their property.

It became clear to me at a young age that packaged processed foods did not work for me. First and foremost, I didn’t like the taste. Packaged food did not satisfy my appetite adequately – where whole foods always have. And with GMO products in 75% + in all packaged foods now, there is an even better reason to stop eating them and buying them – at least until they stop putting that stuff into our food without our permission.

I can taste a dramatic difference between organic and non-organic fruits and vegetables. I never liked the taste of margarine either and went back to eating butter the day I left home. As it turns out years later, that was a good choice and so was my decision in 1973 to quit drinking tap water. As soon as they announced that EBMUD (East Bay Municipal Utilities District) was going to add fluorine to the water supply, I started buying filtered water. I certainly didn’t need Congress to make that decision for me then or to get the opinion of a medical doctor and I don’t now.

You want proof? Just research the effects of fluoride on the body and make your own decision. When you do, I bet you’ll either start buying filtered water or install a water filtration system.

Physical Activity
Another aspect of health basics is physical activity. Our bodies were designed to walk, not sit. Yet we sit all the time when we are driving, when we are working at the computer, when we watch television.

There’s nothing wrong with sitting – only sitting too much. In other words get up off your tush and start walking – and walk everyday. Walk around the block to start, if you’re legs are out of practice and build it up. It feels good to walk.

There are so many little things we can do as individuals that make a difference. It’s not rocket science either. It does take repetition and some time to make new habits. Start with simple things incorporating them into your daily routine.

The best way to solve the health care crisis is to get healthy. There are many things you can do to improve your health and you can start today. You don’t need anybody’s advice or approval.

Start practicing common sense. Start being your own authority and stop listening to other people’s opinions as much. Question authority and do what makes sense to you – to your own inner voice. Exercising common sense is simple when we’re connected to our own inner self – by knowing who we are and connecting to that knowing – and being true to our self.

Somehow when we listen, we "know what to do".

Common Sense is not a gift for special people, not part of a rare skill set, is not an accident. Common sense is in itself a skill and a <leo_highlight style="border-bottom: rgb(255,255,150) 2px solid; display: inline; background: 0% 50%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial" id="leoHighlights_Underline_1" leohighlights_keywords="tool" leohighlights_url_top="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsTop.jsp?keywords%3Dtool%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_url_bottom="http%3A//shortcuts.thebrowserhighlighter.com/leonardo/plugin/highlights/3_1/tbh_highlightsBottom.jsp?keywords%3Dtool%26domain%3Dtobehealthy.com" leohighlights_underline="true" onclick="leoHighlightsHandleClick('leoHighlights_Underline_1')" onmouseover="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOver('leoHighlights_Underline_1')" onmouseout="leoHighlightsHandleMouseOut('leoHighlights_Underline_1')"></leo_highlight>tool that is inherent in human consciousness in each individual’s self awareness of mind and presence.

Sustaining and protecting our health requires common sense. So does protecting our freedom.

Whoa…

Did you ever know that before?

The AMA and the media always portray the AMA to be the legitimate “speaking entity” representing practicing physicians.

If we look at these figures a bit closer, what about this:

29% of practicing doctors are members of the AMA, that means that 71% of practicing doctors are not members of the AMA.

That’s a better than 2 to 1 ratio of non-members to members.

So when the AMA “speaks out” for practicing md’s, they are actually only speaking out for the ~236,000 members, not the ~814,000 practicing doctors.

Source: http://mediamatters.org/research/200906150005

This makes me skeptical about how the media portrays the A.M.A. and gives me reason to question the validity of both the accuracy in the media and WHAT THE A.M.A. SAYS in public…

What gives the A.M.A. the right to speak for the ~578,000 practicing physicians who are non-members?

Does this suggest that many practicing physicians do not agree with the AMA’s agenda?

And if they do agree, why aren’t they members?

Silly me, I always thought that you had to be a member of the American Medical Association to be a doctor. It turns out it is really just a trade association – with a whole lot of clout.

Or is it?

So, more questions:

Is the AMA actually supporting the huge medical and economic debacle being thrust upon a non-receptive public in Congress?

Or is some other entitiy (or group of entities) merely trying to create that impression?

And what do the ~814,000 practicing physicians actually think about it?

Doctors are generally good people – like most Americans. They work hard. They care. They feed their families and they do the best they can. Like every other profession they have good days and bad ones. Some are financially savvy and some are terrible business people. Most doctors are dedicated to their patients’ well being.

There is a perception among of the American public that they can trust their doctors. So if an entity with an agenda can make it look like doctors support something, it lends credibility to the “thing they are supposed to be supporting”, inadvertently the American people accept this subtle validation and feel safer about this choice.

While it is PR genius, it is not necessarily honest to do this.

A Sidebar Regarding Bureauspeak…

Just for the record, I tried reading both of the letters written by the A.M.A. to Congress, one to Nancy Pelosi and one to Harry Reid. Quite honestly, they gave me a headache trying to figure out what they meant.

When I was done reading them, I could not tell if the A.M.A. supports the legislation or not – maybe kind of it might and maybe not really it doesn’t.

I know this. When I write a letter, I do my best to clarify what I am saying to the recipient. I am pretty sick of “bureau-speak”, “double-speak”, legal-ese, innuendo and political correctness and I think the vast majority of American taxpayers agree with me – regardless of some NYT poll saying otherwise.

Say what you mean and mean what you say. If you don’t believe it – or it is not true in some way – don’t say it. If it is true make it so everybody can understand what you are talking about.

This reminds me of Benjamin Franklin’s 3 B’s of Public Speaking: BE LOUD, BE BRIEF, BE SEATED.

Let’s do a what if scenario and see what it looks like:

For purposes of argument, let’s create this premise:

51% (a simple majority) of AMA members support the Health Care Bill. (Please note these figures are ‘ball-park’ estimates)

Let’s look at the math…

In that scenario, the A.M.A. or the media could say a majority of A.M.A. doctors support the Health Care Bill

or

(.51)x(236,000)=120,360 doctors are in favor of the Health Care Bill.

Now given that premise, suppose the media reports that:

A majority of Doctors in the AMA are in favor of the Heath Care Bill in Congress.

Here’s a reality check:

If it were actually a simple majority of all practicing physicians, it would require:

(.51) x (814,000) = 415,140 physicians to be in favor of the Health Care Bill.

compared to

(.51) x (236,00) = 120,360 a simple majority of actual A.M.A members

It seems to me that the difference between the actual simple majority of all practicing physicians (~415,000) and a simple majority of all A.M.A. membership (~120,360 ) is statistically significant.

This is not merely a statistical error, in my eyes. It is a deliberate construct and a distortion of the facts.

Are the media or the A.M.A. misrepresenting the facts when they make such a claim? Or are there special interest groups making it look like the A.M.A. is taking that position? Isn’t the media’s real job to be a watchdog for the public’s best interest and to dig for the truth no matter what they find?

Maybe that used to be the case, but apparently it is no longer…

You draw your own conclusion.

And further…

If the A.M.A. is not supported by a ‘majority’ of practicing physicians, which their own membership numbers would suggest, who is supporting them?

Here is my point with all this, and I am not gunning for the American Medical Association, if we listen to the media, it often sounds like the AMA is a very powerful organization. When you look at the actual numbers, it isn’t.

In fact, according to a June 14th blog, http://mediamatters.org/blog/200906140001, about half of the paid members are students in medical school or retired doctors…

The AMA’s self-presentation is as a membership organization of doctors. But many doctors, of course, are not AMA members, and the group “inflates its numbers by giving reduced membership fees to medical school students and retirees, who make up about half of the dues payers.” … [T]he AMA has found that it can’t rely on membership dues to generate the kind of revenue that the AMA leadership is looking for. Instead, they’ve turned to corporate sponsorship—businesses with money to make by casting a veneer of medical respectability around their pursuit of profit find a relationship with the AMA to be useful.

…What they are on the hook for, however, is the pharmaceutical lobby which provides at least 20 percent of the AMA’s budget. And PhRMA is in the midst of a multimillion dollar advocacy campaign against many progressive health reform ideas.

The real question is:

Who wants it to look like:

The A.M.A. is the primary “spokeperson” for doctors – and

“DOCTORS SUPPORT THE HEALTH CARE BILL..”

My guess is that it would be an entity or group of entities that stands to benefit by the passage of the Health Care Bill. What do you think?

In my eyes, the real losers here in all this are the future generations of kids who will have to pay for all this.

The real health care crisis is that as a nation, as a people and as human beings, we are not learning how to be healthy. We are not teaching our children and new generations how to be healthy. Obesity, chronic cardio-vascular disease, cancer and stress are at an all time high and on the increase – they are not diminishing.

This is an excellent example demonstrating that throwing more money at a problem has no direct relationship to positive results – particularly when those spending the money do not earn it and are not accountable to those who do.

The other losers are all the American people who believe in their government and who used to rely on the media for facts. It is fast becoming evident that neither are reliable resources for the truth and are rapidly becoming mere shadows of a fading viability of the past.

This is the real crisis we are facing.

The best thing each of us can do is learn how to be healthy – physically, emotionally, mentally, Spiritually and financially. Teaching the individual to be the outstanding uniquely powerful beings that they are is the best way to protect the group as a whole – collectively.

“Teach a man to fish…”

Health is only partially about the physical.

If you’re like me this probably makes you feel a bit uncomfortable. I felt that way at first – after all those years of being self-righteous and "doing all the right things".

I thought to myself…

"Something is not right with this picture.

How could physical health only be 7% of the whole solution?

You mean to tell me, that I have spent 100% of my time and energy around being healthy on what can only produce 7% of the results?

Wow…

Seems to me that I’ll get a lot more results if I focus most of my energy on the other 93%."

I recently had this discussion with Neil Habgood – a fellow Core Health Facilitator – during a lunch break at a training. Neil is an experienced certified personal trainer and a natural health professional. During our discussion, we acknowledged that it took both of us some time to adjust our belief system to accept this new information – being so focused on the physical aspects of health for so long.

As a culture, Americans are so conditioned by the fitness and nutrition industries to join health clubs, buy lots of vitamins, eat organic and spend 100% of our time and energy – regarding our health – on the physical:

studying and taking courses,

practicing and training so many hours a day,

burning ‘x’ number of calories and

eating, sleeping and thinking about working out and staying on a diet.

Yet in spite of all the huge efforts being made by people and organizations that want to bring health awareness into the mainstream including:

all the infomercials for home gym equipment

weight loss commercials and programs

fitness and training dvd’s

the millions of books, magazines and websites published on health

the entire collective efforts of the natural and alternative health industries

all the athletes, martial artists, yoga practitioners, skiers, swimmers, long distance bicyclists and runners

as well as companies like Whole Foods and Trader Joes.

!!! less than 50% of adults in the US exercise regularly !!!

What’s up with that?

Source: J Kruger, PhD, HW Kohl III, PhD. "Prevalence of Regular Physical Activity Among Adults — United States, 2001 and 2005." MMWR Weekly. November 23, 2007 / 56(46);1209-1212

Perhaps the magnitude of the agenda on the other side of the coin is just too large. After all we are constantly bombarded with:

advertising from big pharmaceutical companies

recommendations from allopathic medicine (aka the A.M.A.)

rhetoric from Congress (and I capitalize that reluctantly out of respect for the founders)

the insurance industry

the weight loss industry and

the media

programming us that we are all sick and dying and to turn over our personal responsibility for health to a third party "who knows what’s better for us than we do."

No wonder we’re confused…

So Where Did the 7% and 93% Figures Come From?

It seems to be a naturally occurring ratio of human consciousness that correlates to the idea that 93% of everything is about energy. Like the number Π in mathematics or the Plank’s constant in quantum physics – the 7% , 93% ratio seems to be a consciousness constant – like the 80/20 rule applied to awareness.

Recently more of these relationships seem to be popping up. For example many of us who have attended self-development seminars and read the books know about this one:

93% of communication is not verbal According to selectaccesstrain.com

That means only 7% of communication is verbal

In Dr Ed Carlson’s training, Core Health, we learn that:

7% of health is physical and

93% of health is attitudinal

The validity of this concept is measurable using the method of comprehensive kinesiology developed by Dr. Ed Carlson and Dr. David Hawkins’s scale of human consciousness. This idea is also substantiated by the the work of Dr. Bruce Lipton (author of The Biology of Belief) who shows through his research in Biology that the membranes of cells are actually the ‘brains’ of the cells – not the nucleus as previously believed. Lipton proved that the function of the nucleus is reproduction, not cellular control.

Lipton shows that the membranes have receptors that are activated by vibrational frequencies specific to the function of each cell and when those receptors are activated, this triggers specific protein synthesis.

Long story short, since the brain is the central control mechanism for signals sent to the cells, the vibrational patterns of our beliefs actually trigger receptors in the cells. The mind, in essence, can overide existing vibrational patterns and actually morph the cells. It can make a healthy cell weak or convert a cancer cell to a healthy one. That’s what the placebo effect is all about.

The net is that our belief systems actually control the physical biology of our cells – no matter what we believe. When we change the beliefs and change the energy, we change the biology and the cells.

So energy (the vibrational composite of who we are) is the 93% of the health equation that is non-physical.

For the sake of argument, if it were possible to change the ‘energy’ directly, that would have a significantly greater impact on overall health than the physical 7%, would it not?

We actually have the tools to learn how to do this now – by construct, not accidentally or spontaneously:

Core Health and Heart Forgiveness.

Using these energy tools, we can actually change our energy decisions and choose things that enhance our life energy instead of diminishing it.

I’m not saying that physical health isn’t important, because it is.

Being 100% healthy physically is just as important as it always has been. Consider this: if only 1/2 of 1% of our ~50 trillion cells are cancerous that’s ~250 Billion cancer cells. So 100% physical health is critical.

Only now we know that energy health is a much bigger part of the puzzle than we thought.

There is another side benefit of making new energy decisions. When you realign your your natural core of health in the energy, many physical aspects correct automatically. Fix the inner and the outer improves by itself.

Get proactive about expanding your health – the 93% – today. Get in touch today about Core Health and Heart Forgiveness workshops in Sarasota Florida and other parts of the country.

You’ll love the results.

Qigong Sarasota: Benefits and How It Works

The Rejuvenation Energy Alignment class…

The maximum benefit for students occurs when they commit to attending for at least 60 days. We say this because we know from experience that this gives the student enough time to throroughly learn the techniques, and develop the strength and skills which become habits.

It is human nature that once we create a habit we will stick with it.

We have also seen that once a student gets through the first 60 days, they do not want to stop attending because they feel so much better. With any fitness routine, the effects are cumulative and greater with time. We find friendships to be that way too!

Many participants may want to continue with the original training program but others will want to further develop their skills and learn more advanced techniques. Should a member of our group choose to stop attending after 60 days, they would be well equipped to continue their practice on their own and continue to maintain the benefits of the practice wherever they may be. We want you to take it with you and we would make a video for you to workout with if you complete the 8 week course and need to leave the group.

Helping you help yourself to strength, energy, and renewed vitality via a group workout is what we are here to do. Together we can embody healthy longevity with commitment, patience and love. AND we can have fun together too!
